Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in patient access or patient registration in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and preregister patients prior to scheduled services.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Collect and update demographic and insurance information.
• Explain documentation process and answer patient questions.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Input data accurately and minimize duplicate records.
