Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Patient Access Manager for Call Center & Outpatient Operations in Commack, NY. You will oversee the Patient Access Call Center and outpatient registration services, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate registration, and high service levels across sites.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare or a call center, strong leadership and communication skills, and a focus on process improvement and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory and/or management experience in a healthcare or customer service call center setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing staff, workflow, productivity, and service performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operational oversight of Patient Access Call Center and Outpatient Registration services including scheduling, pre-registration, and registration activities.
• Provides leadership to supervisors and staff to ensure efficient workflows, staffing coverage, and exceptional customer service.
• Monitors volume, productivity, time study, quality, and other metrics to evaluate staffing and efficiency.
• Coordinates end-to-end registration workflows from scheduling to patient arrival to promote accurate registrations.
• Collaborates with Patient Access leadership, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Departments, and Quality Assurance teams to improve access and reduce denials.
