Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Patient Access Manager for Call Center & Outpatient Operations in Commack, NY. You will oversee Patient Access Call Center and outpatient registration, ensuring registration integrity, efficient patient throughput, and exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations, you will lead supervisors and staff, monitor staffing, productivity, quality, and ensure compliance while driving process improvements across scheduling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in healthcare or a customer service call center.
• Demonstrated leadership in staff, workflow, productivity, and service performance.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational oversight of Patient Access Call Center and Outpatient Registration services including scheduling, pre-registration, and registration activities.
• Lead daily operations for Call Center, POS, PSP, ASC, and outpatient registration across locations.
• Provide leadership to supervisors and staff to ensure efficient workflows, staffing coverage, productivity, and customer service.
• Monitor volume, productivity, time study, quality and other metrics to evaluate staffing and efficiency.
• Coordinate end-to-end registration workflows from scheduling through patient arrival to promote throughput and experience.
• Ensure compliance with policies and identify process improvements; collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Clinical Departments, and QA teams.
