This full-time role requires strong communication, ability to handle stressed patients, and familiarity with insurance concepts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with one year of customer service, public health, medical practice, or hospital revenue cycle experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, computing and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to communicate with customers under stress.

Responsibilities

• Arrive a high volume of appointments for multiple service types in outpatient settings and collect documents for patient identification and insurance coverage.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment and ensure compliance with consents and regulatory signatures.
• Verify registrations in the EMR and ensure complete financial clearance; provide information on insurance coverage and cost share responsibilities.
• Collect POS payments (co-pays, deposits, deductibles) at check in and monitor workflow to complete registration and clearance within time frames.
