Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Registration department, coordinating scheduling, prior authorization, and staff activities to deliver fast, accurate service to patients.

You will oversee staffing, monitor budgets, mentor staff, and drive process improvements to enhance patient access and satisfaction while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of regulations related to Admissions and Financial requirements.
• Strong scheduling and registration background in EMR (Meditech and/or Epic) system on phone and with patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Registration department and supervise staff.
• Coordinate prior authorization and scheduling processes for staff and patients.
• Monitor budget and approve changes to processes and guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Interview candidates and participate in hires; orient staff and conduct regular meetings.
• Mentor and coach staff, provide feedback, and handle performance issues.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvements and train staff on changes.
