CommonSpirit Health in Sugar Land, TX seeks an experienced Patient Access Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations across hospital access areas, including emergency department and main registration. You will act as escalation point for complex registrations and protect patient experience.

You will guide staff, ensure timely registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance, while upholding EMTALA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, healthcare administration or similar preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in patient access, healthcare registration, admitting, or related hospital‑based access role.
• Experience in senior/lead capacity within patient access or registration.
• Experience with Epic and/or Meditech EHR systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides day-to-day operational leadership and workflow coordination for hospital-based patient access operations across assigned access areas.
• Acts as the first point of escalation for complex registration, insurance, authorization, and patient account issues.
• Guides Patient Access Representatives, Financial Counselors, and Eligibility staff to reinforce accuracy and service standards.
• Supports onboarding and training reinforcement and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborates with clinical teams and revenue cycle partners to reduce delays in care or account processing.
