Job summary

CDL Labor Logistics is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to greet patients, verify insurance, and guide them through pre-registration and registration processes. You will work with the care team to obtain authorizations and ensure accurate data entry in the registration system.

Responsibilities include communicating financial responsibilities to patients, screening for eligibility, and coordinating with financial counselors as needed. Evening/weekend shifts may be required in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; at least 2 years in Patient Access or related roles (office, billing, hospitality, or call center).
• Typing speed of 25 WPM and basic proficiency with web-based systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families promptly, explain services, and guide them through the registration process.
• Identify insurance coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibilities at pre-registration.
• Process pre-registration and registration in the ADT system with accurate demographics and insurance data.
• Obtain precertification/authorization for inpatient and outpatient services and communicate financial implications to patients.
• Screen for eligibility, in-network status, and direct uninsured patients to appropriate financial counseling or charity procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, Care Coordinators, and department leaders to resolve policy compliance and coding issues.
• Participate in team activities and departmental projects to support the mission of the department.
