The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with an Associate’s Degree preferred and up to one year of health care experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients.
• Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, and file medical charts as indicated.
• Obtain accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information on registrations.
• Screen data for insurance eligibility and communicate differences to the customer.
• Ensure insurance pre-certification and physician referral requirements are met and instruct customers accordingly.
• Identify self-pay patients and refer to financial assistance when applicable.
• Maintain open communication with all departments and clinical staff.
• Assist in shadowing/precepting new employees.
