Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to register patients, verify benefits, collect copays, and ensure accurate entry in the EHR. You will work under the Patient Access Manager and support patient flow across departments.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to balance daily cash and co-pays. Evening, weekend, and holiday coverage may be required to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service experience for PAR; 1 year of registration or billing in healthcare for Lead PAR.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Register, preregister, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to guidelines.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations from third-party payers as needed.
• Collect copays and co-insurance; balance daily cash and generate reports for Patient Financial Services.
• Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and refer complex financial questions to counselors.
• Lead PAR duties include training, scheduling, QA audits, and staff supervision.
