Job summary

The Registrar will handle detaled documentation, ensure proper armband ID, and communicate with physician offices to keep records complete and up to date.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions.
• Postsecondary education in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by obtaining accurate demographic information and pre-register where applicable.
• Verify insurance eligibility and secure necessary authorizations and verifications.
• Schedule procedures and coordinate with physicians and departments.
• Collect and explain patient financial obligations and collect co-pays when applicable.
• Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality and compliance.
