Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Representative to support hospital admissions and POS processes on-site at Carilion - New River Valley in Christiansburg, VA.

The role requires 1+ year of customer service experience, and offers a pay range of $17.00–$18.15 per hour, with a 3PM–11PM shift and occasional weekends. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, certifications, and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience
• Must be inquisitive and open to AI to explore better processes
• CRCR must be completed within 6 months of hire (company paid)
• High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Admit patients for services and perform required duties meeting regulatory requirements
• Assign MRNs, verify insurance, collect patient information and process physician orders
• Operate telephone switchboard and provide excellent customer service
• Conduct pre-registration of patient accounts and communicate patient financial liabilities
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents
• Review eligibility responses and support POS and billing processes for clean claims
