Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at Carilion - New River Valley in Christiansburg, VA. The role requires 1+ year of customer service experience and on-site availability.

The position offers a starting hourly wage between $17.00 and $18.15, with paid certifications, tuition reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package. CRCR certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CRCR certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire, company-paid.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Explain general consent forms and distribution of patient education documents.
• Collect insurance information and perform eligibility checks.
• Utilize overlay tool while delivering excellent customer service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and route calls.
• Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits and handle point-of-service collections.
