Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring for a Patient Access Staff position at Carilion - Rockbridge Hospital in Lexington, VA. This onsite role requires strong customer service and accuracy in patient data handling, insurance information collection, and POS processes.

You will work to support a high-quality patient experience and contribute to a clean claim rate. Candidates should have 1+ years of customer service experience and a High School Diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCR certification within 9 months of hire (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Patient Access staff assign MRNs, perform medical necessity/compliance checks, collect insurance information and process physician orders.
• Operates the telephone switchboard and provides excellent customer service with appropriate compassion.
• Pre-register patient accounts and obtain demographic, insurance, and other information.
• Support POS billing processes and ensure accurate insurance benefit data entry.
