Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet and email required.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Register and schedule patients for appointments, tests and procedures.
• Collect and process co-pays, deductibles and balances due at time of service.
• Provide information on financial assistance, payment plans and charity care.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms, policies and disclosures.
• Provide directions, maps, and parking information to patients.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.
• Document and update patient records in the electronic health system.
• Follow up on pending issues like prior authorizations and referrals.
