Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative for Admitting on a Per Diem/Relief, variable basis in Washington. The role pre-registers patients, collects payments, and verifies insurance details prior to arrival.

This position requires 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding is a plus. Proficiency with MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a medical office or related customer service.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographics and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, and co-insurance.
• Verifies coverage and obtains prior authorizations or referrals as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• Assist with departmental coverage as required.
• Manage daily appointment schedules and reminders.
