Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of customer service or medical office experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer data-entry and typing (40 wpm).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistently high-quality customer service and support patient first interaction.
• Respond to questions and concerns; escalate issues as needed.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits; schedule appointments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA rules.
• Input and update patient demographics and medical information in Epic.
• Coordinate with hospital departments and physicians’ offices to direct patients through registration and scheduling processes.
• Perform out-of-pocket estimations and communicate financial options to patients.
• Attend training and contribute to process improvements and QA activities.
