Job summary

GulfShore Endoscopy Center is seeking a Registration Representative on a full-time basis to support front desk and medical records operations. The role involves admitting patients, updating demographics, collecting payments, handling funds, and answering calls with professional customer service.

Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, this position supports the office manager and may assist with back-office tasks. Prior hospital records experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of hospital or medical records experience required.
• Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Must communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
• Must adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
• Experience with insurance verification and collection processes.
• Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients and process their paperwork.
• Update patient demographics in the system.
• Collect monies due and document in the billing system.
• Handle funds per office procedure.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries.
• Interface with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Provide front desk receptionist and medical records support as needed.
