Job summary

South County Health is seeking a patient-focused registration clerk to support accurate demographic and visit data capture at the point of service. You will collect payments, prepare necessary paperwork, and ensure timely transfers and bed assignments in coordination with clinical staff.

The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced hospital environment. Occasional float to emergency, express care, or imaging areas may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, teamwork, conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic knowledge of EHR programs and medical terminology.
• Minimum three years registration experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients at point of service.
• Collect deductibles and co-pays; prepare financial obligations.
• Prepare and assemble necessary paperwork before arrival.
• Complete inpatient/observation transfers and bed assignments as requested.
• Answer calls and provide professional, compassionate customer service.
• May float to various registration locations, including ED and imaging.
