Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to oversee revenue cycle activities related to patient registration, referrals, precertification, insurance verification, co-pay collections, and front-end customer service to support financial goals.

This role creates the first impression of UMC services for patients and families, ensures HIPAA privacy and security, and leads front-end staff to deliver accurate, timely registrations and cash flow for the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• Two years of relevant patient access experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient registration, insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and referrals to ensure accurate cash flow.
• Develop and monitor systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness of registrations.
• Monitor QA results and provide staff training opportunities to improve front-end operations.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and security compliance in all patient access activities.
• Assist in achieving department and hospital objectives through effective coordination and communication.
