The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a PrecetLead in Patient Access to lead pre-certification and related scheduling within the Revenue Cycle. You will expertly coordinate patient access activities, ensure accurate insurance and demographic data, and support clinicians by processing complex requests efficiently.

The role involves educating staff on department standards, providing information on services, and coordinating multiple systems to resolve issues in real time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PC knowledge and interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment.
• 4 years of relevant experience required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree in a relevant field may be preferred.
• At least 2 years experience in a healthcare setting or revenue cycle role.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, and intranet/internet navigation tools.
• Medical terminology, coding and third party reimbursement experience.
• Ability to work in multiple systems for tasks, management and reporting.
• Must meet mandatory educational and health requirements and scheduling competencies.

• Coordinate requests for physicians and consumers in one transaction.
