BJC HealthCare seeks a Patient Access Lead to oversee the Point of Service Collections and pre-boarding onboarding at the Hospital Service Office. You will coordinate teams, ensure accurate insurance and financial liability data, and mentor staff to improve throughput and service quality.

Responsibilities include staffing adjustments, training, and cross-department collaboration, with an on-call rotation and potential weekend work. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience in patient access or similar role.
• CHAA certification preferred.
• Ability to mentor PAR I & II and lead the team.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates professionally with patients and families by phone or in-person, troubleshoots system issues, and supports staff training.
• Proficient in registration, authorization, and pre-arrival workflows; ensures HIPAA and patient rights compliance.
• Performs service recovery and provides consistent customer service in challenging situations.
• Acts as subject matter expert in patient access and mentors staff; runs reports for accuracy and timeliness of registrations.
• Adjusts staffing based on volume and leads weekend/holiday call rotations.
