Job summary

North Star Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee front desk operations at our Anchorage, Alaska facility. You will lead Patient Access Coordinators, manage admission paperwork, and ensure smooth patient flow from arrival to discharge.

The role emphasizes service excellence, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with Intake, Nursing, Business Office, and other departments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• 2–4 years of administrative experience with leadership preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations and supervise Patient Access Coordinators.
• Greet and screen visitors and guide them through the clinic.
• Manage multi-line switchboard and route calls.
• Assist with admissions, registrations, and patient discharges.
• Coordinate with Intake, Nursing, Business Office and other departments to ensure timely admissions and discharges.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness and manage deliveries.
