Job summary

North Star Behavioral Health is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to join our Anchorage team. You will manage front desk operations, greet visitors, and coordinate admissions and scheduling while ensuring patient confidentiality and smooth information flow across departments.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of administrative experience with leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to compassionate care in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of administrative experience; leadership preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen visitors; answer calls; ensure patient confidentiality.
• Assist with admissions paperwork and processing of patient belongings.
• Create and maintain the front desk staff schedule and daily operations.
• Coordinate communication between Intake, Nursing Units, Business Office and other departments to facilitate admissions and discharges.
• Assist Business Office with billing documentation; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness and responsiveness to employment inquiries.
• Provide back-up intake coverage and manage referrals; document call details in MS4.
• Ensure discharge processes are completed and patients are accounted for in MS4.
