Job summary

North Star Behavioral Health in Alaska seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to lead front desk operations and ensure smooth patient flow across departments. You will manage a multi-line switchboard, screen calls, verify patient information, and support admissions and discharges.

This role partners with Intake/Admissions, Nursing, and Medical Records to coordinate patient access activities, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years in administrative work with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen visitors; manage front desk operations.
• Operate a multi-line switchboard and route calls appropriately.
• Assist with admission paperwork and patient registration.
• Coordinate schedules for Patient Access Coordinators and support staff.
• Assist with billing documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness and oversee delivery/sign-in processes.
• Support intake/Admissions and discharge coordination with clinical teams.
