Syracuse Area Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator who will lead the scheduling and staffing of the hospital's Patient Access team, ensuring full shift coverage and proactive absence management. The role supports the Revenue Cycle Director, ensures EMR accuracy and customer service, and acts as the EMR super user for workflow optimization, training, and audits.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare services such as admissions, accounts receivable, and/or patient financial services.
• Experience with electronic medical records, computer systems and data entry.
• Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Leads coordination and management of Patient Access staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts.
• Addresses staffing needs and arranges coverage for planned and unplanned absences.
• Adjusts assignments to support patient access operations while maintaining service excellence and efficiency.
• Assists Revenue Cycle Director in implementing and monitoring processes to ensure staff efficiency, EMR accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
• Serves as the organizational Patient Access EMR super user, supporting workflow optimization, system enhancements, troubleshooting, testing, auditing, and staff training to ensure efficient registration, scheduling, and admission processes.
