Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital seeks a Patient Access supervisor-level professional to manage daily workload, coordinate staff activities, and ensure accurate pre-registration and data collection for patients.

You will support the supervisor, train new staff, and help identify workflow improvements while maintaining quality and productivity metrics in a high-volume hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two years of experience in scheduling, billing, registration, insurance authorization or customer service required.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workload hour by hour to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Provide supervision and support to line staff as appropriate.
• Assist supervisor in identifying workflow improvements and special projects.
• Ensure pre-registered patients meet care requirements before arrival.
• Assist in training staff and maintaining work schedules.
• Ensure tools are available and functional for staff to complete their jobs.
• Maintain workload quality and productivity metrics and report to supervisor.
