Responsibilities include training new staff, documenting information in the system, and ensuring timely scheduling and patient services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years hospital or patient registration/clinic experience.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Experience with Word/Outlook/Excel or similar software preferred.
• Medical secretarial/office training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies, re-verifies and authorizes patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Verifies and updates demographic, insurance, and other patient information; collects and posts co-pays.
• Handles patient-care related calls and provides routine information on procedures and policies.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates appointments and referrals.
• Documents information in the computer system and runs reports; trains new employees.
