Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking an Intake Representative to connect patients with their care teams. You will screen calls, assign patients to therapists and physicians, and assist with intake database maintenance and monthly activity reports.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred coursework in insurance/billing and prior experience in patient services or medical reception.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (preferred).
• Course work in insurance/billing, medical practice education or seminars are preferred.
• Previous experience in patient services, medical reception, or call/customer service in a medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients by phone.
• Provide intake services to callers requesting outpatient mental health, chemical dependency or psychoeducational services.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Answer questions, route calls, and relay messages to clinical staff.
• Verify patient registration and insurance information.
• Assist patients with MyChart and other patient portal support.
• Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Partner with providers and office teams to create a seamless patient experience.
