Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; coursework in insurance/billing or medical practice education preferred.
• Previous experience in patient services, medical reception, call/customer service in a medical setting is required.

• Be the first point of contact for patients by phone and provide intake services for outpatient mental health and related services.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments; relay messages to clinical staff as needed.
• Verify patient registration and insurance information; assist patients with MyChart and portal support.
• Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities; maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Partner with providers and office teams to create a seamless patient experience.

What You'll Do

• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Answer questions, route calls appropriately, and relay messages to clinical staff.
• Verify patient registration and insurance information.
• Assist patients with MyChart and other patient portal support.
• Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Partner with providers and office teams to create a seamless patient experience.

General Requirements

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Course work in insurance/billing, medical practice education or seminars are all preferred.
• CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a combination of patient services, medical reception, call/customer service center (medical environment) or other customer service environment.
