Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a patient financial services representative for the evening shift in Florida. The role focuses on Medicare compliance, patient billing, insurance verification, and registration duties to ensure accurate financial processing and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include collecting demographic data, explaining benefits, arranging payment plans, and coordinating with utilization management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience in customer service or related field advantageous.
• Ability to learn and apply hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue ABN notices as needed.
• Create accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility and collect payments or arrange plans.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization issues.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations timely.
• Register patients for services and ensure accuracy of records.
• Collect demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Provide coverage for PBX and other assigned duties during shifts.
• Maintain excellent customer service and document conversations with patients and payers.
• Attend department meetings and support team communication.
• Assist with cashiering tasks and cash reconciliation.
