Job summary

AdventHealth Sebring seeks a patient access professional to handle Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, and collect payments or arrange plans. You will coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorizations and verify insurance benefits, ensuring accurate patient data and timely services.

Qualifications

• Mature judgement when dealing with patients, physicians and insurers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare databases.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal, in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and prepare NBNC forms.
• Register patients and verify insurance details to prevent duplication.
• Coordinate with care teams for pre-authorization and scheduling information.
• Provide excellent customer service and document payer conversations and payment plans.
• Be flexible to cover PBX duties and cashiering tasks as needed.
