Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of related work experience preferred.
• Healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to verify demographic information and insurance benefits.
• EPIC EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling, Pre-registration, Registration, Insurance Verification, and Financial Counseling duties.
• Pre-register scheduled accounts and create registration records.
• Coordinate admission reservations and bed placement with nursing.
• Obtain insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and referrals.
• Update demographic and insurance information in the system.
• Initiate collection of patient balances and establish financial arrangements.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality.
