AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a patient access specialist to perform Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, and coordinate pre-authorizations and scheduling. You will register patients, collect demographic and insurance details, and ensure excellent service across departments.

Ideal candidates have at least high school diploma (associate preferred), 1+ years in customer service or revenue cycle, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Formación

• Mature judgment when dealing with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and familiarity with database programs.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy rules and company policies.
• Experience in customer service related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or establishes payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management staff for pre-authorization issues and ensures patients have necessary logistical information.
• Registers patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of medical records.
• Provides timely and continual coverage of assigned work areas during scheduled shifts, arranging relief coverage as needed.
• Maintains excellent communication between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments to enhance patient experience.
