Qualifications

• Knowledge of CMS/EMR/HIPAA requirements and patient privacy.
• Experience with insurance benefits and patient demographics.
• Strong communication and detail orientation in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and determine patient financial responsibility.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-auth issues.
• Verify eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations within timeframes.
• Register patients, collect demographics, and ensure accurate records.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain documentation of payer communications.
• Cover PBX and handle cashiering duties as needed.
