The specialist will verify patient eligibility for insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and enter accurate patient demographics and orders, while delivering clear, compassionate communication to patients and staff throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology and abbreviations.

Responsibilities

• Verify and enter patient demographics accurately.
• Review clinical documentation to meet insurance guidelines.
• Obtain prior authorizations and review coverage for equipment.
• Explain insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs to patients.
• Enter sales orders accurately for requested items.
• Handle calls and provide responsive communication to patients and providers.
• Schedule setup, delivery, or pickup appointments.
• Follow up on tasks related to CMNs and authorizations.
