Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Access Associate to interview patients or their representatives, collect required registration data, verify insurance, obtain precertifications, and communicate financial assistance needs. The role involves scheduling, data accuracy, and coordinating with payers and departments.

The position is full-time at 2701 Culver Rd, Irondequoit, with a Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm schedule, in a 40-hour work week. Some travel to other locations may be required.

Formación

• 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Associate degree preferred.
• One year of customer service experience.

Responsabilidades

• Manage incoming calls and provide necessary information.
• Greet patients and representatives and provide directions as needed.
• Schedule and preschedule patient appointments.
• Interview patients/representatives to collect required data and complete registration.
• Identify services with no identified payment source and follow up with financial assistance or payment arrangements.
• Verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain necessary precertifications/authorizations.
• Collect and process co-payments, deductibles and other payments; provide cost estimates.
• Review charges in charge review work queues for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory policies.
• Communicate with payers, physician offices, and other departments.
• Set up new patient records via Care Connect.
• May interpret when qualified.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• RGMG Only: travel to other locations may be required.
