Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• 1 year related experience in an office like setting.
• Demonstrates SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors using SMILES and AIDET.
• Assists patients with check in/check out.
• Schedule appointments
• Verifies accurate patient demographics
• Enters data into electronic health record and billing system
• Answers telephone within three rings and directs calls
• Enters hospital charges with accuracy and within timelines
• Balances payments received daily
• Documents eligibility in the electronic health record
• Identifies and documents network providers for referrals
• Notifies provider when no provider in network is available
• Completes paperwork for authorized referrals within two business days
• Enters referrals into EHR within two business days
• Assists patients with referrals and referred services
