Job summary

Community Health and Wellness of Greater Torrington, Inc. is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative (PAR) to join our Torrington office with coverage for Winsted and Canaan as needed. Schedule is Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, and support front desk operations to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service. Experience as a medical receptionist and familiarity with EMR/insurance preferred; English

Qualifications

Experience as a medical receptionist with multi-line phones and familiarity with insurance and EMR preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy front-office environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, prompt manner and assist with new patients.
Register new patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
Schedule appointments and update patient charts as needed.
Verify insurance coverage and route calls to the appropriate medical staff.
Monitor wait times and assist with front-office tasks to ensure patient satisfaction.
