Baptist Health Urgent Care Westport Green Place is seeking a PRN Patient Access Coordinator to greet and register patients, schedule appointments, and provide reminder calls, while verifying demographics and insurance at check-in.

The role handles co-pays and daily deposits, relays messages to providers, and provides clerical support including typing reports, sorting mail, processing incoming and outgoing faxes, and maintaining office supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills required. Medical terminology skills preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes patient appointments and reminder calls.
• Greets and registers all patients.
• Verifies demographic and insurance information and enters into the system.
• Collects co-pays and other payments and prepares daily deposit & reconciliation report.
• Receives and relays all phone messages to and from providers and logs them appropriately.
• Provides clerical/secretarial support: typing correspondence and reports, sorting and delivering mail, processing faxes and ordering supplies.
