Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• 1–2 years in an administrative/customer service role preferred.
• EPIC knowledge and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk and waiting area communication to move patients through visits and support the clinical team.
• Answer all incoming calls from patients, physicians, and departments per NorthShore standards and document in Epic telephone encounters.
• Use Epic to schedule and register patients for multiple providers, sites and services.
• Obtain prior authorizations, records and orders as needed to ensure patient arrival is seamless.
• Familiarize with physician preferences, availability, visit types, and protocols.
• Provide other administrative support under Physicians and Practice Manager.
• Review department templates daily to ensure patient access and efficient utilization; inform Practice Manager of concerns.
