Job summary

Park Nicollet Burnsville is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the Primary Care Frontline team. The role involves answering calls, greeting patients, collecting co-pays, scheduling follow-ups and referrals, and handling clerical duties in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

You will maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service while supporting process improvements and department changes. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 6 months related experience
• Accurate computer/keyboard skills required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Must be proficient in operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route incoming calls from patients and employer groups.
• Greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow-ups and referrals, and support clerical duties.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide courteous service.
• Support ongoing process improvement and adapt to department changes.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday day shift with occasional Saturdays.
