Job summary

San Ysidro Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative Lead to manage front office operations and support patient flow across X-ray, Behavioral Health, Laboratory and Chiropractic services. The role involves registering new patients, assisting with check-in, and guiding patients through funding eligibility and payer resources.

The position requires strong communication skills, experience in a medical setting, and the ability to train and supervise PSRs while maintaining service quality

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a medical setting, preferably front desk or reception.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability for accurate and tactful verbal explanations.
• Proficiency with general office equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Registering patients and assisting with appointment and check-in process.
• Provide front office support and coordinate with nursing, medical records, and provider schedules.
• Assist patients with funding eligibility and sliding fee programs; explain payer resources.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and direct callers and patients efficiently.
• Maintain departmental policies, ensure quality service, and support daily operations.
