Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to greet and register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays. The role includes entering data into the patient system and preparing daily deposits, along with relaying messages to providers and maintaining supplies.

On a typical Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00am to 4:00pm, the coordinator provides clerical support and contributes to a smooth administrative flow within the practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills required.
• Medical terminology skills preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes patient appointments and reminder calls.
• Greets, registers, and checks in or out all patients.
• Verifies demographic and insurance information and enters into the system.
• Collects co-pays and other payments and prepares daily deposits and reconciliation reports.
• Relays phone messages to and from providers and logs them appropriately.
• Provides clerical/secretarial support by typing correspondence and reports, sorting and delivering mail, processing faxes, and ordering supplies.
