Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; patient access experience preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, registration and financial clearance is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, billing, and pre-certification processes is beneficial.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ADT systems.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients arriving for their appointments and ensures smooth patient flow.
• Verifies and updates patient demographic and insurance information.
• Completes the registration process for walk-in patients and verifies changes.
• Calculates and collects patient financial liability and communicates estimates.
• Directs patients to financial counseling when needed.
• Executes visit closure tasks including scheduling follow-ups and providing documents.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements.
• Communicates issues to management and supports process improvements.
• Meets productivity and accuracy targets.
