The Patient Services Representative (PSR) at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist handles patient registration, collects demographics and insurance details, and assists with pre-certifications as required. You will enter information into the ADT system and explain estimated patient liability.

This full-time, 40-hour/week role in Salisbury/Lexington clinics requires strong communication, attention to privacy, and teamwork to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Patient access (scheduling, registration and financial clearance), insurance verification, billing or certified medical assistant experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greets patients arriving for appointments.
• Ensures all patient demographic and insurance information is complete and accurate.
• Completes the registration process on walk-in patients and updates information as needed.
• Verifies insurance benefits and collects patient liability.
• Follows Financial Clearance policy when needed.
• Identifies patients in need of financial assistance and refers to Financial Counselor.
• Performs visit closure and schedules follow-up appointments.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements.
