Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in patient access, scheduling, or front-end revenue cycle operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR or practice management systems and insurance processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments based on provider availability and clinic needs.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, guarantor details, and insurance information.
• Ensure accurate patient registration in EMR or practice management system.
• Verify provider, location, and appointment type for proper scheduling.
• Greet patients, verify identity, and collect required forms (HIPAA, consent, etc.).
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth clinic flow and avoid delays or denials.
• Assist patients with financial clearance, copays, deductibles, and payment options.
• Document eligibility verification and financial clearance activities in the system.
• Support patient check-out with follow-up appointments or tests as ordered.
