Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, or healthcare front-end revenue cycle operations preferred.
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) or practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments according to provider availability and clinic needs.
• Accurately collect and verify patient demographic information.
• Ensure patient registration is completed accurately in the EMR.
• Verify provider, location, and appointment type to ensure proper scheduling.
• Maintain scheduling accuracy to support clinic efficiency.
• Greet patients and verify identity upon arrival.
• Perform patient check-in with demographic verification, insurance validation.
• Explain forms such as consent to treat and HIPAA acknowledgement.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
• Manage insurance eligibility verification and determine financial clearance before services.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and balances; provide financial estimates.
