Job summary

Kettering Health in Beavercreek is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Registrar for the second shift to support patient flow and ensure accurate registration, insurance verification, and documentation in the EHR.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, explain financial responsibilities, schedule appointments, and maintain HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year healthcare admin or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR and HIPAA compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect and enter patient demographics, insurance, and contact information into the EHR.
• Verify patient identity and insurance eligibility to ensure data integrity.
• Obtain and document consents and signatures for treatment and billing.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect payments as applicable.
• Greet patients/visitors and provide directions and assistance.
• Schedule and manage appointments in coordination with providers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Collaborate with clinical/admin staff to support patient flow.
• Follow up on incomplete or inaccurate registration information.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with healthcare regulations.
