Job summary

You are the first point of contact, delivering friendly service while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, and collaborating with clinical and administrative staff.

Required HS diploma and 1 year healthcare admin or customer service experience; bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative or customer service role.
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and privacy.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect and enter patient demographic, insurance, and contact information into the EHR system.
• Verify patient identity and insurance eligibility, ensuring data integrity.
• Obtain and document necessary consents and signatures for treatment and billing.
• Provide clear information to patients regarding financial responsibilities, co-pays, and payments.
• Greet patients and visitors, answer questions, and provide directions within the facility.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments in alignment with provider availability.
