Job summary

University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a patient access representative to greet patients, register them in Epic, verify insurance, collect signatures, and process payments at point of service.

You will coordinate with clinic staff, schedule basic appointments, and assist with MyChart and kiosks while supporting waiting room operations and following department protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or customer service role.
• Basic understanding of clinic scheduling, registration, and referral processes in Epic.
• Familiarity with MyChart and kiosks.
• Ability to handle financial transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients, verifies insurance, collects signatures, and processes at point of service.
• Communicates with clinic staff and care teams to ensure a smooth experience.
• Schedules basic appointments and coordinates with doctors, radiology, and labs.
• Handles phone communications, voicemails, and patient inquiries efficiently.
• Reconciles cash drawers and supports accurate financial reporting.
